Why Should I Choose The Academy of Golf Dynamics Over Other Golf Schools?

We’ve been ranked among the top golf schools in the country, including for exceptional value. Beyond the accolades, we provide:

  • Experienced, dedicated instructors – Our team consists of seasoned professionals.

  • Small class sizes – A 3:1 student-to-teacher ratio ensures personalized instruction.

  • A top-tier learning environment – We train at Lakecliff Golf Club in Spicewood, featuring an Arnold Palmer-designed practice facility and private course.

  • A customized approach – We don’t follow a “one-size-fits-all” method or push a specific brand or resort agenda. Instead, we tailor instruction to your skill level, swing, learning style, and personal goals.

  • A commitment to results – We stand behind our instruction and guarantee a top-quality learning experience.

What Makes Your Instruction Superior?

Our primary instructors are our owners. Each owner is a plus golfer with decades of on-course experience and knowledge of what works and can be executed consistently under pressure. Beyond that, we have each taught an average of 750 golf schools for over 10,000 students using an individualized approach to instruction where we do not teach to a method or promote a product. Our focus is on long-term improvement and many students return year after year for continued development.

What Teaching Method Do You Use?

We believe golf instruction should fit the individual, not the other way around. Every golfer is unique—tall, short, experienced, new to the game, competitive, or just playing for fun. Some thrive with visual instruction, some need to “feel it,” while others excel with auditory guidance.

By recognizing these unique learning styles, our instructors tailor their approach to ensure every student receives the support they need to succeed. That’s why we customize our approach based on your build, experience level, learning style, and goals. Rather than teaching a single "method," we help you develop the best technique for your game.

Do Students Return?

Many students return year after year whether it be for a start of the season “tune up,” for an annual group trip, or to spend some time in the Hill Country. Each year we introduce new drills, visual keys, and practice techniques. We have upgraded our facility and integrated new technology and are excited to share it with our alumni. We are also eager to introduce shorter, more topical schools and outings offerings as the season rolls on.

Do You Offer Instruction Beyond Three-Day Golf Schools?

Yes! We offer 1:1 instruction, corporate outings, junior golf camps, and topical golf schools (e.g., short game). Please contact us for more information at info@theacademyofgolftx.com and  512.261.3300

I’m a Senior Golfer. Will the Schedule Be Too Demanding?

Not at all. We tailor the pace to suit each student, ensuring an enjoyable and productive experience. Many of our attendees are senior golfers, and our approach ensures you build skill without overexertion. You’ll improve in real course situations, not just hitting balls on a range. We have also added an indoor putting green and simulator and will be able to spend productive time in the A/C!

I’m a Junior Golfer. Is This School Right For Me?

Yes, of course. We are excited to grow the game and love having juniors in our schools. We offer reduced rates for three-day schools with an accompanying adult. We also host junior-focused camps in the summer.

I’m a Single-Digit Handicap, but My Spouse is a Beginner. Will This Work for Us?

Absolutely! Our small class sizes allow us to tailor instruction for each golfer. Whether you're refining an advanced skill or working on the basics, our instructors will focus on your individual needs, ensuring a personalized learning experience.

What Happens If It Rains?

We’re committed to keeping your learning experience productive, rain or shine. If outdoor play isn’t possible, we offer:

  • Indoor golf simulator for swing analysis and practice.

  • Indoor putting green for refining short-game skill.

  • Classroom sessions on putting, mental strategies, and other key aspects of the game.

Our schools are scheduled during optimal weather months, but if a full session is impacted, you’ll receive credit for any lost time in another school.

Will I Continue to Improve After I Leave?

Yes! You'll take home:

  • A personalized school manual outlining key concepts.

  • Your observation chart and video review of swing adjustments.

  • Custom drills to reinforce your progress.

Even after your time at The Academy, we keep your personalized instruction notes on file. If you ever need guidance, simply reach out via email, and we’ll help you stay on track.
